When should we start school?

Children can start with us as early as 8 months old.

What are the School days and hours like?

Pre-Kindergarten : 9:00am - 11:00am or 11:00 am to 1pm
Kindergarten - Nursery : 9:00am to 11:00am or 11:00am to 1pm
Jr. Kg: 8:00am - 11:00am
Sr. Kg: 8:00am - 12:00noon

Extra Activities in our School Campus Hours:

English Classes - Mondays and Wednesdays - 5:00pm - 6:15pm
Co-curricular programs, Workshops and Extra Activities, run before school, after school, and on the weekends (Please contact the school for details.

We are not Indian, or NRI's , can we enroll our child?

Yes! We have a special program for parents coming in from different countries to allow your child to settle in comfortably with us. We extend our support to parents in need of getting around, settling down, making a friends circle and gaining confidence in Busy Mumbai.

My child isn't Potty Trained! My child cant speak yet and cant eat on their own! Help!!

Don't worry about that! Here in Hosanna we fully understand the plight of parents with small children. We assure you that your Childs diaper will be regularly changed, fed on time and with hand signals we will learn your child and be able to communicate with them until they start talking. Slowly we will help your child get off the diaper and start using the bathroom. With exposure to other children, your child will quickly learn to talk.

Do you have a payment program?

Here in Hosanna we take our fees twice a year, every March 31st and every September 1st. Thus ensuring no burden of paying a full fees all together. During the Covid-19 outbreak we will not collect any late payment fees (i.e.- March 2020 to May 2021)

What curriculum do you follow?

We are a pure Gold and Red Seal Montessorian school. We are the only Montessorian school in India with both a Practical and Theoretical Montessorian Program, which means your child will learn all of the Montessorian Apparatus as well as reading and writing before they leave in Sr. Kg.

What is the student teacher ratio?

We believe in small numbers and small classrooms to assure quality and personalization.

Student to Teacher ratio is 5:1

Can my child Manage in big school when they leave?

Absolutely! Children coming from Hosanna have a strong base and foundation. Most don't even need tuitions after they leave us. Hosanna children not only do very well, they are toppers in most schools. Please read our Success stories in the next page.

What will happen to my child if we continue until Sr. kg? what about later Grade 1 admissions?

Hosanna House Montessori School has collaborated with many schools in the area for a swift and effortless transition into Grade 1. please contact the school to see our updated list of schools we have collaborated with. Every single child leaving Hosanna is assured a seat in Grade 1 in the schools of their choice.

How will I know what my child does in school?

Our M.O.P.S Program (Mothers of Preschoolers) includes Demo Presentation Classes every Friday. The program is Spear Headed by our very own Mamalina (Mrs. Valerie-Joy-Salway). We train our parents and teach them what we have taught their children in weekly parent classes every Friday.

My child has learning needs. How do i know if H.H.M can accommodate these differences?

H.H.M's board policy states, “Hosanna House Montessori School is committed to meeting the needs of all our students, including those with special learning needs. The School expects that parents will provide all of the appropriate documentation one would expect when seeking to enroll a child in a new school, especially if the child has previously been enrolled in a special education program.”

During the admission process, it is important to begin the application process as soon as possible and to be open about your child’s specific needs from the beginning. We will ask that you provide Hosanna with as much information regarding their needs as possible, including, but not limited to, a most recent psycho-educational assessment, past testing, support plans (IEP’s, behavioral contracts, etc), as well as narrative comments from previous schools.

What about my Childs safety in school?

As educators, we are also parents to every child on campus, and their safety is our primary priority. To ensure this, we have installed CCTV surveillance, first-aid kits and fire safety devices throughout the school. There is vigilant security at all times, including a female attendant present on every part of the school. We are a complete female staff, female-run school, always assuring you that your child is in safe hands.

Do you have a sports day and annual day?

Yes we do! Your child will participate in a fully-fledged Sports Day and Annual Day.

How can we get to school?

Hosanna is easily accessible for residents of Andheri west and East, Lokhandwalla, Oshiwara, Versova, Vile Parle and Juhu as well, due to its central location. It is also conveniently located close to the main road and railway stations. We are also walking distance from the Azad Nagar Metro.

Do you have Field Trips?

Yes! Hosanna firmly believes in a classroom with no walls. We often take our children on educational and fun field trips as often as we can. Parents have the option of attending these field trips with us, or sending a helper to accompany their child.

Do you have an athletics program?

Yes! Hosanna has a trained sports teacher who conducts regular sessions with our children. The program is included in your Childs time table. Football is usually the favorite among children! Older children can attend swimming classes with our professional swimming teacher Ms. Zasha.

Is the Admission Process easy?

Yes! You can fill out an online form or come to school. There will be an interview with the Head of the school, after which we will get back to you if your application has been processed.

Admissions start in March for the June Batch.

Admissions depends on seat availability. We firmly believe in small numbers to assure quality.

What sort of events do you have in school?

Our academic year is fun and exciting for all! We have a fun Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Grandparents Day, Kite flying Day, Christmas celebrations with Santa Claus, Festival of Lights celebrations, Environmental day, Foundations day and much much more. Parents are intimated before hand and can participate in all of our events.

Who is the Head Mistress of the school and how can we approach her?

Our Headmistress and School owner is Mrs. Valerie - Joy - Salway (AKA Mamalina). She has been a teacher for over 50 years, having set up schools in Africa and now here in India. Her influence spans many continents and countries. She has successfully taught thousands of children throughout her career and many of her children's (now adults) testimonials are written in the next section.

Her youngest daughter Ms. Zasha Maria, runs the school and is the school coordinator. Both are available with a prior appointment.
